The Biggest Snow Day Ever!

Today is December 27th, Thursday. Today we just got the largest amount of snow we have had in a long time.  Maine got more though.  We got about 8 inches but my nana  got about 18 inches of snow.  Lissa doesn't like the snow that much because it is cold.  I like to snowboard, sled, have snowball fights and especially make a big big BIG giant snowman.  I've made a snowman every year, ever since I was a little kid.

Today me and Ooma went to the post office.  We walked all the way there in the snow and boy was it tiring.  I fell down part of the way home.  Do you know what happened?  Someone opened their car window and asked if I was okay.  Wasn't that crazy?

At the post office we sent our Christmas cards and we mailed some shoes to Ta'Neal in Boston. After that we went to DD to buy something to eat.  I used my own money to buy my own lunch which was a bagel variety that is hard for me to find.  I found one there and it made me very happy.  It is a blueberry bagel!  I also got a coolata to drink.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Thanksgiving is very close.  It is one more day and I am so excited.  We get really crowded on Thanksgiving because we have a lot of family members that come that day.  I love that they all come to our house.  I like to decorate for this.  The first picture here is the cornucopia and all the harvest food.  I set this up with my sister Lissa.
This is a close up of the cornucopia.  It is funny that I like to do this because I really  hate bananas and other fruits. If I really smell a banana I just go crazy.  But pretend ones are okay.
This is the welcome home scarecrow house.  We like to welcome  people to our home.  We have lots of food on thanksgiving.  My favorites are vegetarian chicken and home made rolls.  For dessert I like apple pie and this year I asked for blueberry pie too. I will be very full when the meal is over!

Loving in the Summertime!

That is the name of a song my big brother Chet likes.  But it is also a good way to tell about my summer. First, I have been to the beach.  It was a new beach and I liked it a lot.  I went with Lissa and Chet, and my Ooma. Rob could not come because he was at work. We made sand castles, we swam, I made a dolphin out of sand.  We played hot potato, catch and mother may I in the water. Oh and we played water tag! That was fun!

I spent last week at pottery camp.  On the very first day I made a batman mask and some beads and stamps.  On the second day, we made bowls with lily pad printing.  The third day we began our sculptures. (I decided to make Bruce the Moose to remember a fun camping trip I had.)  The fourth day we did our potters wheel.  That was really fun.  You have to use a pedal and there was slow, medium, high and stop. You centered the clay and you spread it apart as it spins.  You have to make a hole with your finger first.  I made a blate, which stands for bowl and plate. I also made a wolf named Buddy on a stepping stone. On the very last day I made a beautiful mosaic picture frame and I made some slabs.  That is when you take a big ball of clay and you roll it out and throw it around on the table.  That is a lot of fun and some hard work.  At the end of the day, just before 12  noon we would have a skipping stone race on the little lake near our clay camp.  I found a big flat stone and I got it to skip TWO times!  It was really easy!

I will put on a picture of my picture frame later.  My mom is away and she has the camera!  There is going to be a glaze day so that I can glaze the rest of my work and then it will be fired and then I can pick it up.  I am so excited about that!

Kentucky Derby Day!

Yesterday was a GREAT Derby day!  By tradition, every year we make silly hats.We also have a picnic supper and eat in the living room while we watch the race.  This year we also had a Derby cake. We used Lissa's toy horses on it.  The green frosting was the grass and the brown is fudge frosting and that was the road the horses raced on.  There are roses at the end of the cake because everytime someone wins the Derby the horse gets a blanket of flowers around his neck.  The Derby was really good on tv too.  The horse that won came out of NOWHERE and won the Derby. We were all surprised.

Happy Easter!

Look at this great picture with these beautiful Easter eggs!  Every year at Easter I decorate eggs with my family.  The best part is that this is so much fun and I like to take one special egg and work very hard to make it the brightest and darkest color of all.

This year, I made a special egg and it was a deep mango color.  It took a long time and I used two colors to get just the right shade.  Do you see that there is one space missing in this egg carton?  That is because my dog Blake ate  my special egg when it was on the counter drying!  I was not mad  at him but I was disappointed.  Blake really seemed to like it though, there was not even a speck of shell left!

April Fools Day!

Every year we always have something fun to do on April Fools Day. Ooma makes a special breakfast that is always silly. This year it was pizza and bread bites. She told us she had made blueberry cake, but she didn't.  I am tricking my  mom with pretend play dough poop.  It is in the kitchen.  Mom always says she never wants us to walk in the house with our shoes  on cause we might bring in poop.  So hopefully we will be able to trick her.  We made the poop out of brown play dough and we rolled it into poop shapes and then squished it like we walked in them with our shoes.  Now they are on the floor and I hope she thinks they are real!  What do YOU do for April Fools Day?

My Special Pets!

Here is Mom and Blake, hugging each other.  Blake is a cool dog.  He doesn't bite and he is always nice and he never makes a mess in the yard by digging.
This is Maui.  HE is a handsome man in a great pose.  He is staring to look fierce for the camera. He doesn't eat mice but he does catch them. Maui is calm but not very playful.
Here is Valkyrie. She is a very sweet girl.  She and Maui used to hiss and fight but now they are best friends and are brother and sister.   Val loves to play with Lissa and I.
This is Hush.  She was a great pet and I had her for a long time but last year she finally died.  Sad but true, but I still love her in my heart.

Jazzy Saturdays!

This is a picture of my jazz shoes.  Every Saturday is a jazzy Saturday for me.  Why?  I'll tell you why.  I've been working hard on my ballet and tap so my teacher said that we could add another class which is jazz!  In jazz you listen to radio kind of music.  You jump sometimes. You tap sometimes. You snap and clap and move to the beat.  My favorite song to dance to is "Tonight" by Hot Chelle Rae.

The theme of my recital this year is Ice Age.  I don't like the movie and I think it is terrible, but the recital will be great!  I will be in the recital.  Since I take jazz and ballet and tap I will have two dances in the recital.  In the jazz one I will be a shiny star and i will hold a star. Isn't that cool?  In the tap dance I will be a zebra and that is cool because zebras are my FAVORITE animal!
